FULL CONTAINER PLANNING
A full-container movement keeps one consignment within a dedicated loading unit, but it does not remove the handovers around it. The planning question is whether the goods, packing method and receiving site are ready for that unit. A nominal container size alone cannot establish usable loading capacity.

Our fictional examples use dry general cargo. They do not approve a commodity, issue a booking or confirm the suitability of a container. Start with the packed cargo list, the intended loading method and the point at which the receiver can accept the unit. Record a seal responsibility separately from the transport mode.

SIX HANDLING STEPS
1. Scope the consignment
List package types, total packed mass and external dimensions. Identify anything that cannot be stacked or needs a separate suitability review.

2. Check the loading location
Record access, loading equipment and the person responsible for packing the unit. Do not infer lifting capability from a warehouse name.

3. Confirm the unit and plan
A real provider must confirm equipment, cargo suitability and load distribution. The demo requests this review instead of turning volume into a packing approval.

4. Prepare the handover record
Keep package count, condition notes and seal responsibility together. Any disagreement needs an owner before the unit leaves the loading point.

5. Separate movement from release
Use the illustrative sea lane only for departure-to-arrival planning. Documents, terminal availability and clearance remain separate tasks.

6. Arrange the receiving slot
Check unloading access, empty-unit return instructions and the final delivery window with the parties responsible. Close the plan only when those details are agreed.
