A closer look at Arc Pixel Pocket Sun
Pixel Pocket Sun is a deliberately simple handheld with a 2.8-inch colour screen, physical buttons and the fictional Pixel Cartridge interface. The sun-yellow shell makes it easy to distinguish from the plum and teal versions. All three share the same 320 × 240 display and one included Pixel Trails cartridge, without wireless accounts or downloadable libraries.
Insert the Pixel Trails cartridge with the power off and keep its labelled sleeve in the pouch. The two supplied rechargeable AA cells are charged outside the handheld in the included charger. Check battery orientation before closing the compartment, and use the wrist loop when a secure grip is helpful.

Questions about this model
Can it run games from other Arc systems?
No. Pixel Pocket uses its own fictional Pixel Cartridge interface. Shift, Station, Orbit and other Pocket media are not compatible.
How is the handheld charged?
Remove the two rechargeable AA cells and use the supplied external charger. The handheld has no USB charging socket, and ordinary non-rechargeable cells must not be put into the charger.
Check this before choosing
Intended uses
- Short local play with physical controls
- A self-contained retro-style cartridge kit
Points to confirm
- No network, television output or compatibility with Shift, Pocket Classic or Pocket Touch games is declared.
- The small non-touch screen and simple controls are a deliberate limitation, not an emulation claim.
