D-C 24 f2.8 is an APS-C-only lens designed to keep the crop-format DSLR kit short and light. At 135 g it adds far less front weight than the standard zooms. Its 24 mm focal length gives a moderate everyday viewpoint on the supported D bodies, with no claim that the compact image circle covers a full-frame camera.

Read the D-C marking before mounting it. The D24, D26 and D28 are the checked bodies, while both D32 kits are excluded despite sharing the D bayonet. Keep the small rear cap in the pouch and avoid setting the thin lens down on exposed electrical contacts.
