Before you plan a table

Useful answers about the meal and the local preview.

The menus describe complete dishes with their own portions, ingredients and serving periods. The visit and planning pages bring the practical information together. These answers explain the most common distinctions, including what the fictional restaurant and its local preview cannot confirm.

Is this a real restaurant?

No. Reed & Ember, its people and Bracken Quay are fictional. The menus and stories form an original restaurant demonstration; the location is not a real navigation destination.

Does Plan a table make a reservation?

No. It checks the basic choices against the printed fictional rules and produces an unsent local outline. It does not check availability, send a message or hold a table.

When are lunch and dinner served?

Tuesday to Sunday: lunch 12:00–15:00, with the last start at 13:30; dinner 17:30–22:30, with the last regular start at 20:30. Monday and the listed special dates are closed.

Why is the last seating earlier than closing?

The final start leaves the whole meal allowance before closing: ninety minutes for lunch and two hours for regular dinner. It is a planning period, not a promise about a live table.

How far ahead can I make a plan?

The date can be up to ninety calendar days ahead, including the ninetieth day. A same-day seating needs at least 120 minutes of lead time in Europe/Amsterdam time.

Which groups use private dining?

The private outline covers nine to sixteen people, dinner at 18:00 and a three-hour allowance. It needs at least seven calendar days of lead time. Standard table plans cover one to eight people.

Are the displayed prices per person?

Each price applies to its printed portion. Most dishes are individual servings, while the two-person trout and vegetable selections explicitly say serves 2 and are priced for both.

Is rice included with every main?

No. A main with rice says so in its portion or description. The complete lunch plates and bowls include their listed base; dinner sides are separate unless the main states otherwise.

What do vegan and vegetarian mean here?

They describe the complete listed recipe. Vegan recipes have no listed animal-derived ingredients; vegetarian recipes may include the specified egg, dairy or honey. These labels do not guarantee freedom from cross-contact.

Can the site confirm a meal is suitable for my allergy?

No. Full recipe allergens are listed, including those in sauces and stocks, but a shared kitchen requires a real discussion about handling and cross-contact. This offline preview cannot provide that confirmation.

Are there alcohol-free drinks?

Yes. The list includes a stated 0.0% lager, two alcohol-free mixed drinks and complete soft-drink and hot-cup groups. Read the exact ingredients and measure for the choice you are considering.

Does a wine price mean a glass or a bottle?

The wine and sparkling lots are priced per 750 ml bottle. Other drinks print their own measures, and mixed drinks say whether the stated volume includes ice. The cellar lots are fictional specifications.

Can I choose a specific seat or confirm access?

The room pages describe an illustrative arrangement. The local plan does not allocate a seat. The level entrance, aisle and toilet are design assumptions that a real venue would need to verify for a real visit.

Can I buy a gift or order takeaway?

No payment or order is accepted. Gift a meal offers a local gift-planning note; Dining at home explains a meal outline and the questions a real takeaway service would need to settle.

What happens to my planning details?

They are neither stored nor sent. Editing clears the old result, reset clears the form, and any local text copy states that the plan is unsent and is not a reservation.
