Relocation projects

Know which room receives each piece.

A move is a sequence of arrivals

A relocation brief starts with an inventory that means something at the receiving end. Room, floor or department references can be more useful than a long list of ungrouped cartons. The fictional planning exercise records what must be available first and what can wait in temporary storage.

Keep access beside the inventory

Collect building access restrictions, permitted unloading times and the person authorised to receive. A transport vehicle reaching a city does not establish that it can enter a courtyard, use a lift or stop at a doorway. Those details remain specialist review items, especially for heavy or awkward pieces.

Separate personal and commercial scope

Personal effects can involve documents and restrictions different from commercial stock. They receive no automatic general-cargo timing in this demo. The local project brief retains the questions for an appropriate provider without pretending to determine customs treatment.

Define the receiving check

Agree how pieces are counted, condition differences recorded and items directed to their intended rooms. An early inventory correction is easier to resolve than a missing-item question after packing materials have been removed.
