Combine the plan before the load
Strait Consolidation Desk is a fictional receiving and grouping scenario. It asks whether several supplier orders are ready for the same movement, rather than assuming that a common destination makes them compatible. The site offers no physical handling location or published consolidation schedule.
Use one record per packed type
Supplier descriptions must be reconciled with the pieces actually offered for carriage. Record external dimensions, mass and count for each packed type. The single-line quotation worksheet can illustrate one identical-piece group; mixed loads require the fuller downloadable enquiry sheet.
Do not hide a late supplier
A missing order should remain visible as a decision: hold the group, split the enquiry or revise the receiving plan. The fictional small-lot case deliberately retains that uncertainty. It does not claim a saving or an improved delivery time from consolidation.
Release only an agreed scope
Before dispatch, reconcile the order list, handling questions and document responsibility. Air and ocean options have different acceptance questions and separate lane boundaries. The planning page cannot approve dangerous goods, declare food suitability or arrange export release.
