Arc consoles are organised by how they are used: Station and Orbit connect to a screen, Shift moves between handheld and docked play, and the Pocket models keep the display integrated. Each platform has its own media and controller rules, so begin with the title and play arrangement.

Before choosing a model

Read the supplied game and controller lines before comparing price. Bare consoles contain no title, and named Shift bundles differ in physical media rather than processor performance.

Keep internal storage separate from removable expansion. Starter Library has a 64 GB console plus a distinct 128 GB card; those are not a single upgraded internal drive.

Does 4K output mean every game renders in 4K?

No. The output connection and a title’s rendering mode are separate facts. The fictional Station S video specification does not guarantee a game-specific frame rate or resolution.

Can the Pocket handhelds use the Shift dock?

No. Their USB-C ports charge the device and do not provide the Shift docked-video path.
