Before choosing a model

A supplied action bracket is not a water enclosure or a safety tether. Check the precise housing and depth statement for Action 4 or Action 7; dry-use models have no immersion configuration.

Higher frame-rate video needs suitable recording media and more storage. Test a short clip in the intended mode before fixing the camera into a hard-to-reach position.

Is Instant 60 a rugged digital action camera?

No. It exposes integral instant film and makes physical prints. It has no video recording, digital image file or underwater capability.

Can every action camera use the same housing?

No. Only the matched supplied housing is specified for each model, and Action 4 and Action 7 have different stated limits.
