Action 4 Black sits between the dry-use D7 and the higher-frame-rate Action 7. Its 12 MP sensor records 4K at 30 fps, with 1080p at 90 fps as a lower-resolution motion option. A removable 1200 mAh battery and the matched clear housing make the kit configuration easy to identify when several action cameras share a bag.

Keep this 3 m housing with the Action 4 body; the Action 7 enclosure has a different stated fit and limit. Inspect the seal and test the empty housing before water use. Check card capacity and the selected frame rate before closing the case, since controls become less convenient after mounting.
